Birthday no.33

By Hamish Gill

It was my 33rd birthday the other day. As is traditional on such occasions I went out for a large Laphroaig or 2 (possibly a few more than 2). Another tradition is of course taking a few photos…

I’ve been shooting with my M3 a bit more again recently. It never fails to surprise me just how much I enjoy shooting it. With the Sonnar on the front, I really feel completely at home with it. Of course, a Laphroaig or 7 in, and things can get a little bit less reliable in terms of focusing. Not in any way would I think to pin the blame on the camera/lens mind … In fact, the fact even a few sharp photos is probably testament to the quality of the camera.

That being said, sharpness just doesn’t seem all that relevant to this sort of photography …

One way or another, a good night was had!

Happy birthday!
I see " 3"... pushed 3 stops? What were the shutter speeds/f stops...or was there too much Laphroaig on board to care ;-)
