My sister was over from Germany for a few days and, living land-locked, she loves to see the sea. It was mid October and the weather was not very pleasant but we took her to Earnsey Bay on Walney Island as usual. We wandered about on the sand for a bit and admired the off-shore wind-turbines, apparently all alone until I saw this person with the five dogs walking right by the sea’s edge. Naturally I didn’t have a camera with me so whipping out my phone I was just in time to get this. Is it the best photograph I’ve taken this year? Probably not but I’m happy with it.

Nice! Having lived most of my life on Long Island, NY, my favorite time of year to photograph the beaches was when they were "closed" (which meant no concession stands open and no life guards) from Labor Day until Memorial Day. Lovely views, just the sounds of wind, surf, and seagulls. Very soothing.
