Advertising and Subscription Information
Advertising a bit of a ‘necessary evil’ on 35mmc. The amount of content submitted to the site, combined with a desire to constantly increase the quality and quantity of what is written through greater attention to detail when it comes to editing and curating the content, has meant that a lot of man hours go into running the website.
The revenue the advertising and subscriptions generates – when averaged out over the year – covers the the cost of the time of our little part-time team, as well as covering the website expenses. This includes, WordPress, paid-for functionality, hosting, security, backups, the content delivery network, support, maintenance, updates to the site and even the cost of our subscription system.
