When the music biz was broken beyond repair (at least for non-superstars) he reinvented himself as a restaurant chef and owner in Germany's Eifel mountains. Back in his recording studios days he was an analogue tape anorak; these days he shoots a handful of classic film cameras and prints his images in the darkroom above the restaurant.
