Yesterday, Lomography announced that LomoChrome Turquoise is coming back! They have opened up 15% discounted preorders on their website here.
I actually hadn’t realised it wasn’t available until I read Christian Schroeder’s article about Metropolis and the Purple films (here) and wondered why he also hadn’t tried the Turquoise variety. Regardless, it is back now, and I think I am going to try some!
Some words from Lomography:
We have a promise to keep. A promise to keep film alive. To give our community the tools they need to find joy in the analogue world.
Rather than discontinuing film, we prefer to expand our collection and give film shooters worldwide the opportunity to get creative with all sorts of exciting emulsions! So, after countless requests via our DMs, emails, tweets, by carrier pigeon and more… we are thrilled to announce that there’s a new member joining our ever-expanding film family. LomoChrome Turquoise is BACK and ready to make a splash with its tantalizing tones! Available in limited quantities only, this tremendous turquoise treasure won’t be around long!
You can get your’s on their website here.
Looks like you could make an image like the Houses of the Holy album cover with that film! Ordered the 3 pack mixed format set, looking forward to it!
Thanks for the headsup Hamish!
I was so happy to see this news. Like so many others, I started on film for a lot of years because that’s what there was, then went digital for “cost savings” and by the time I came back to film was right after they discontinued the Turquoise. I’ve always really enjoyed the Purple and to some degree also the Metropolis and was super bummed I missed this one due to how extreme the color shifts are. Small prayers answered!
