Lomography have just launched a new film, “LomoChrome Metropolis” on Kickstarter. A colour negative film with a very distinctive look, this is the first film they have released in 5 years and has been produced from scratch.
It’s a negative film with a box speed of 100-400iso, It will be available in 35mm, 120, 110 and 16mm motion picture film formats.
Lomogrpahy say that this film:
LomoChrome Metropolis pays homage to the mother of all colors: black! Search for rays of color in a sea of lightless
skyscrapers, frame your subject as they trudge the streets of ghost towns, and disappear down sparsely lit subway entrances – embrace urban annihilation and take portraits unlike anything else.
Available in 35 mm, 120, 110 and 16 mm format, Metropolis promises to bring a new perspective to every corner of the analogue world. Take your adventures to greater heights than ever before with LomoChrome Metropolis’ unique extended 100-400 ISO range and fine cine-style grain structure.
With 10 successfully funded and delivered Kickstarter projects under our belt, we’ve decided to return to the analogue community for our latest groundbreak-ing release.
This certainly looks to be an emulsion that will give photographers a unique look to thier images, and it’s great to see another truly new emulsion coming to market.

July 16, 2019 at 5:01 pmI backed it. It looks like a lot of fun and a unique product! Of course there has been a knee jerk reaction from the haters who still reminisce about the good old days when they shot Kodachrome 25 and it’s been downhill since then…

July 16, 2019 at 6:23 pmI love that Lomo is bringing new film stocks tot he market. They recently brought Berlin and Potsdam to the market but this is a from scratch emulsion which is incredible. I already made my pledge (for a combo of the Metropolis and the Purple) and can’t wait to shoot it.

July 16, 2019 at 9:22 pmThis new film appears to be similar to Adox color implosion but maybe less saturated.
I hope I can get just a couple of rolls without joining kickstarter.
