She Died Alone – One Shot (Tragic) Story

By Andrea Monti

She was a drug addict —a “junk” some righteous zealot would have called her— and died on the street in the indifference of everybody but one.

For a few days, a flower and a rainbow unicorn are what will keep her memory alive.

The memory of a human being left alone also in her final moment.

A very moving tribute. Well done! Every human starts life innocent. I believe we leave the world the same way no matter what happens in between.

I have just come back from a business trip to San Diego. If you want to know what a society looks like with no safety net at the bottom, go there……

Her memory can be kept alive indefinitely. Each year on October 31st, I honor the dead who made an impact in my life. This ranges from family members to the apartment complex maintenance man I barely knew but was always kind. I write a memory of each person on a piece of paper and burn it after. Allow the memory to rise in a new form. This is beautiful what you have done and how you have chosen to honor her.
