NEWS: Announcing Analogue Spotlight 2023 – Save the Date for October 14th & 15th!

By Molly Kate

We are excited to announce that dates have been settled for the next Analogue Spotlight in-person event to be held in Nottingham, UK. Mark your calendars off for October 14th and 15th, 2023! If you are an analogue photography fan, you won’t want to miss this one.

Last year’s Analogue Spotlight launch event was a huge success, held at the Kiln in Worcester. The sold-out event featured an array of workshops, talks, and displays, all focused on analogue photography.

We are planning this year’s event to build upon the launch success and offer even more for the analogue community. Much of the feedback received told us there is an appetite for a bigger event, which is why we are preparing for a two-day weekender! In our survey results for the 2023 event, 76% of respondents said they would love to see a multiple day analogue extravaganza. We love the enthusiasm!

So get those dates on the calendar for October 14th and 15th, 2023, and prepare to experience the magic that will be a whole weekend celebrating all things analogue photography!

Let us know in the comments if you are planning to attend. Feel free to add if there are any topics or discussions you’d like to see explored or potential speakers you would recommend. More details will be coming out soon as the planning process develops. If this is the first you are hearing of Analogue Spotlight, we are a team on a mission to bring together individuals and businesses interested in analogue photography and raise the profile of the practice worldwide through events, meet-ups, social media, workshops, etc. The group also aims to celebrate a fair representation of voices within the community and support and promote the industry overall. Darn! That sounds like a lot of fun -- but a little bit of a trip (live outside of Baltimore, MD, USA) -- though I spent a bunch of time in 1976/1977 as a young teen around Nottingham. I have a kayak, but I think that I'd need to start out now to get there by October!!!! I hope that you all have a great time -- definitely hope that Ribsy will be rocking the house! Thanks Molly!
