Cosme Lapena is a street and urban photographer based in Castelldefels, just outside Barcelona. He picked up a camera for the first time at fifteen, borrowing a Voigtländer to wander the streets of his home city, and has been photographing with increasing intensity for the past twenty-five years. His work centers on contrast — of light, of history, of pace — and Barcelona's mix of medieval alleys and contemporary architecture remains his most enduring subject. Cosme shoots primarily with a Sony a7R IV and Leica Q3, and publishes his photography and writing at bCLPhoto (bclphoto.com), where he explores street, architecture, and travel photography from Barcelona and beyond. This project marks his first feature in an international photography publication.
