Carbon: A Photographic Project – By Dan Zorg

Carbon is a photography project shot by me and my friend Fabio Passoni from 2020 and the beginning of 2021, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. In late summer of 2019 we had just finished setting up our new darkroom in Fabio’s basement. We managed to enjoy some months of blissful printing sessions before the pandemic hit. Here in Italy things started falling apart at the beginning of March 2020. The first lockdown was announced by the Government on March 8th (I remember because it’s also my birthday).

Now that the kickstarter campaign is live we wanted to take some time to share with you the talented artists and photographers being featured in the book. I am going to be putting together a series of articles, mostly in a bid to remind you all of the book, and the fact that whilst we are getting closer every day, we are yet to reach our funding goal.

Empty Paris – Covid 19 & Parisian Walks with a Minox 35ML – Angèle Fourteau

April 2021. France was again in a state quarantine due to Covid 19’s third wave. We were restricted to an area of 10km around home plus a night curfew. From my teeny tiny flat, all I wanted was to get outside and go for a long escaping walk…

Fortunately, I live in Paris, and there is a lot of things to see, and neighborhoods to get lost in.

For all those “10km walks” during this quarantine time, I always grabbed my Minox 35ML.
