35mmc / Sunny 16 Podcast – The Photography Show Mega Analogue Meetup

By Hamish Gill

I’ve teamed up with Sunny 16 Podcast to arrange a bit of a meet-up at The Photography Show on Saturday the 16th of March. The plan is to all meet up outside the main arena, and then descend on the various analogue photography stands around the show.

We have arranged this in cooperation with TPS who have given us discount code for tickets.

The discount code is: LVPTPS19
And can be redeemed on tickets here: photographyshow.com/registration
Once you’ve got you ticket, please let us know you’re coming to the meetup here on Photowalk.me

There are a few interesting companies who we intend to visit:

Intrepid will be there showing off their mkiii camera and the new enlarger

Lomography will be there selling their latest films, instant cameras and various film cameras and lenses

Solarcan will be there showing off impressive shots achieved with their awesome camera – Sam will also have some cameras for sale

The Disabled Photographers society will have piles of film cameras, lenses and other cool stuff to root through

Fujifilm will no doubt have an Instax stand

And I will have a little corner for pixl-latr on the Paterson Photographic stand – I am hoping to have a first off unit to show people by then, but if not I will have a couple of prototypes for people to prod. Paterson will also have their well known kit alongside some fancy lighting and tripods to show off!

We shall also be aiming to cross paths with a few more well known folks from our little community – including Paul from Analogue Wonderland, Andy Church from Kodak Alaris and Stephen Dowling from Kosmo Foto who will all be bringing a load of film to hand out. Steve Lloyd from Chroma Camera and Simon Forster from the Classic Lenses Podcast will also be there. Not to mention the huge list of other exhibitors, masterclasses and events etc

We also have a plan brewing to go for a few drinks in the evening – so please take that into account when making your plans if you would like to join us!

TPS is a great event anyway, with the icing on the cake being our little analogue meetup… so if you’re free on the 16th of March, come along to the NEC in Birmingham and say hi!

Oh, and if you think there should be more analogue stands, I have started working on that with the guys at TPS to make sure there is even more for us there at 2020!
